Shannan Carmouche graduated from the Physician Assistant(PA) program by earning her Masters Degree in Health Science from the University of Oklahoma in 2001. She graduated the program with Special Distinction.
Shannan worked in General and Vascular Surgery for the next 8 years at Southwest Medical Center and the Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma providing surgical, clinical, inpatient and outpatient care. She then transitioned to Emergency Medicine at Deaconess Hospital in 2010 providing emergency care until 2012 when she joined HPI. She has performed surgical, clinical, and outpatient care in Orthopedic Medicine and is now excited to join the Optimal Health team.
Shannan has attended continuing education at some of the most prestigious forums including Northwestern University of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Medical University of South Carolina, and the Arizona Heart Foundation. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician’s Assistants, the Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants, and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Shannan currently carries the BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for advanced life support.
Shannan is primarily focused on advanced medicine, and is particularly excited to be practicing in the field of men and women’s health delivering a highly personal experience with the utmost compassion and care. |
